This national certificate course will provide the exercise leader with physical fitness and gerontological theory. The leader will learn techniques to aid in the training of their older adult participants to restore and improve their functionality. The leader’s goal is to enable the older adult to maintain their independence and quality of life through exercise. Instruction in exercise selection, designing exercises programs and providing physical evaluation for the older adult is included.
